Save-A-Life is Los Angeles' LARGEST 501c3, non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer dog and cat rescue and adoption organization. Since 1995, Save-A-Life Cat and Dog Adoptions has been about making dreams come true--often when even a last glimmer of hope has faded. We've provided shelter and caring, loving homes for thousands of precious cats and dogs since we rescued that first litter so many years ago.


We NEVER KILL the Cats or Dogs we take in.

We have an URGENT need for
electric blankets and heating pads.

The temperatures at the shelter get way below freezing in the winter months, and the animals sit on these items to keep warm. We would love new or used items. Please send them to us via mail or drop them off at one of our adoption locations . Thank you for keeping us warm this winter!

URGENT Need for Dog/Cat food

Due to the current economic times, our shelter has seen a significant decrease in our donations. As a result we urgently need dry cat and dog food to feed our 500+ animals. And now more than ever SAL is in need of assistance for spay/neuter costs.
